Calligraphy For a cause
Intro to Calligraphy Class
Join me as I partner with YoungLives to send adolescent parents to camp this summer! Over mimosas and brunch enjoy an introduction to calligraphy lesson. This is a 2 hour class where we'll go over the basics - how to hold the pen, how to properly prep a nib, loading ink, pen pressure, strokes, different styles and the alphabet. During the second hour we’ll work on creating our own lettering piece of art. Working from one of my templates you’ll use your newly acquired skills to create a print to frame and hang in your home!
Each student receives:

YoungLives is a faith-based organization that works to support local adolescent parents under the age of 21. Through mentoring, providing resources, and fun monthly meet ups they are working to change the lives of young people and their babies throughout the city of Memphis.
Intro to Brush-lettering
This 3 hour class will introduce you to the wonderful world of brush-lettering! My favorite! We'll go over the basic strokes, pressure and different brush stiffness. We'll try out lots of different brushes and pens, and try lettering on different mediums: watercolor paper, envelopes, boxes and regular paper. During this class we'll also practice styling photos of our work.

Watercolor Basics
Another 3 hour class to get you started on your watercolor journey! We'll walk through the basics of consistency, materials, understanding light and dark, and blending. We'll also touch on layout, composition and sketching. We'll start by sketching out some different floral arrangements, and then learning to paint them in abstract and more literal ways. During this class we'll also practice styling photos of our work.
