Free Quarantine Printables: Pack 1
Man, this pandemic has really thrown us all for a loop. I find myself stuck between running around trying to be a good wife, mom, home-school teacher, paycheck earner… and just staring out the window unable to process thoughts. It’s weird how comforting it is to know we’re all in this together - to have a shared grief, and suffering. So it’s in this spirit that I’ve been creating some printables y’all can download and use however you’d like. Hopefully they help bring you together as a family, or even just give you a little reprieve in trying to be all the things.
This first pack includes:
A Quarantine Questions Worksheet: Print it out and write down your kids answers, store it away somewhere to look back on in 5, 10 years when these isolation memories have faded. Or use it at dinnertime’s each night to bring everyone together and process through some feelings. Or do like me and tape it to the wall - and when things get overwhelming again, just go back and read about how proud your kids are of you :)
Cursive Practice Sheet: Having to help with math and science has got me feeling totally out of my comfort zone - so I made a little something that I feel confident in teaching ;) Cursive. I don’t think they teach cursive in schools anymore anyways so it might be helpful to have this on hand even when school starts back up. Have them trace over my letters and try to connect the “tail” of each letter to the next letter on the blank sheet.
Verse Coloring Sheet: I don’t know about you but coloring is actually calming for me as well as my kids. Grab some colored pencils, markers, crayons and take a quiet moment to color with your littles. Or just print it out and hang it on the fridge. Whenever I get the itch to go see the grandparents, friends or to Wendy’s for a Coke Zero, I look at this verse and sit back down - I can make it one more day. All we have to do is take it one day at a time.
Micah’s Mini Build | Scorpion: This is my favorite part of this pack! My almost-6-year-old is obsessed with Legos, and his just-turned-34-year-old dad is equally obsessed. They have combined their superpowers in such a fun way. They build together almost every day and at the end of the day Zach is taking their builds and and putting it together in his 3D software to make instructions so y’all can build it too! This week Micah designed a super cute little Scorpion - download the instructions and make your own!
I’d love to make a new pack each week - we’ll see! I’ll send out an email when I make a blog post with new downloads, and you can sign up for the emails below. And if you post pics of your creations use the hashtag #BushBuilds so we can see it!
