It's been a few months since I've done a work re-cap! I'm still getting used to the ebb & flow of owning a small business. This summer was crazy with invitations for fall weddings, and now that it's the beginning of September I've had a nice bit of down-time before I have to start on all the day-of-details for those weddings, and then jump right into Christmas rush season. This extra time has provided me with the luxury of being able to brainstorm, launch new things, paint and practice!
Invitations
All the invitation suites I was working on have been shipped and delivered and I've started booking spring weddings, with clients that I'm super excited about! Here are some full shots of all the fall suites!
Nib Holders
We launched our Year of Nib Holders Giveaway, where we team up with another lettering artist to design a one-of-a-kind nib holder and give it away! It's a different holder and artist each month and it's been so incredibly fun! I've loved working with all these different creatives and seeing their unique visions and personality come through in the pen. Each has been a learning experience that has helped us to grow and I'm truly grateful for that!
The first 2 holders were designed by Melissa Esplin and Fozzy Dayrit-Castro and they were both incredible! The 3rd giveaway launches this Saturday, and this pen designed by Molly Jacques is SO COOL. Seriously.
Logos
I've been collaborating with some amazing branding ladies lately! This logo I was able to hand-letter for Kelsey of Paper & Oats was so much fun and she totally rocked this re-brand for Ivey Weddings & Events! I've also been working on a couple tattoos, which is crazy to think about!
Miscellaneous Endeavors
In other news, I started a Surprise Mail subscription that I'm really excited about! It's basically just a monthly grab-bag, for the price of 1 print ($15) you get an envelope full of random lettering goodies!
We're also working on launching our line of calligraphy accessories to go with all the nib holders! This will include things like pen rests, ink well holders, pen holders and cases, etc. That will launch in October and I can't wait! We're working on finalizing the designs now!
